The Aspern Papers
In the backwaters of 19th century Venice, ambitious editor Henry Jonson is trying to obtain the secret letters of his idol, the poet Jeffrey Aspern, held by the mysterious Juliana Bordereau, once Aspern’s muse and lover. He has vowed to go to any lengths to find them, but Henry’s discovery is not quite what he had bargained for.
This is the UK premiere of Hagemann’s adaptation of Henry James’ 1888 novella. Produced by Pegasus Opera with Hagemann-Rosenthal Associates.
