The Anonymous Lover

A special concert of instrumental and vocal works pairs music by Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges with that of his contemporary Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

Part 1 is a concert play interweaving stories from the extraordinary life of the composer Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges, with the narrative and music from his opera The Anonymous Lover (L’Amant anonyme) from 1780. In Part 2, Mozart’s Requiem puts the Glyndebourne Chorus in the spotlight.

On tour 3 November – 9 December with performances at Milton Keynes, Canterbury, Norwich, Liverpool, and Glyndebourne.
